6 words

our six word post OUR OWN BLOGS

… I came up with the idea to use the 6 word concept with my kids all on my own … knowing (as with most good ideas) it would have been utilised in many other contexts before. Wikepedia and Google helped confirm this. No shame … pride - the need to be connected and creative in a succinct manner abounds … especially as microblogging increasingly enhances our networks and communities … now to count …
no, that’s more than 6 … oh well :)

The miniLegends love the idea because it’s a way we can connect with the world and share our learning … using a simple and common task.
“We get to visit other countries and they get to visit us.”

Here we go …

Ernest Hemingway was a very famous author.
He was encouraged to write a story in just six words.
Here is one that he really liked and thought was one of his best works … so the story goes.

‘For sale: baby shoes, never worn.’ [This started a brilliant class discussion]

Please add your own 6 word stories in the comments.

Also. please let other people know so they can visit us and join in the fun.

We will collect them and present them for everyone to share.

Our negotiated task

from our ’six words’ post (with our best first shot examples - CHECK THEM OUT!)
+ examples (below) from other sites
(no links provided due to some Year 3 inappropriate content)
We have more of our own ‘6 word stories’ in OUR OWN BLOGS.

Please, feel free to add your 6 words

Well we spent some time voting on our favourite submitted so far.

There was a lot of discussion and very close voting.

‘ipod idance ising iwatch ishare ihappy’ Frances
‘Chocolate, 31 days - who will WIN?’ Sue
were exactly the same! … (that nevers happens to us) BUT

with a few extra votes, the winner is
‘New puppy believes toes need air.’ by Alan (Brilliant!)

We loved everyone joining in and having a shot - thanks
